About Lauren
I have been a first grade teacher for 12 years. I have previously worked with studends in 3rd- 5th grade as well. I have a passion for teaching and love seeing students finally understanding something that was once such a struggle for them. I have a bachelors degree in elementary education and couldn’t see myself doing anything else!
I loved my third grade teacher so much and knew after being in her class that I wanted to become a teacher!
I have a bachelors degree in elementary education and have been teaching first grade in the public school system for 12 years.

It is important for me to get to know the student first, developed a positive relationship and really get to know them. I want to get a good idea of what they struggle with so I know exactly what to work on. If I know their likes/dislikes, I can incorporate things they are interested in, into the lessons.
I have worked with on level students, above level students, below level students. I have worked with students that have signs of dyslexia and students with learning disabilities. I have also worked with students who are autistic and have severe behavior concerns.
