About Katherine
I have a genuine passion for working with students to improve their English writing, speaking, and listening skills. I always aim to support my students' levels of self-confidence and interest in using the English language. Learning can be fun!
One of my favorite things about tutoring is when a student has their "aha!" moment and grasps a concept they previously had trouble with. Seeing a student smile and take control of their learning again always makes me feel like I've made a difference.
I attended Manhattan College in the Bronx, NY for both my undergraduate and graduate studies.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Adolescent English Education and a Master of Science in Education degree in Adolescent Special Education.
I am certified to teach both English and Special Education for grades 7-12 in the state of New York.
I have 4 years of lead teaching experience in 9-12th grade English and Special Education classrooms.
