I like playing with words, arranging and rearranging word by word, sentence by sentence in a way that makes sense to others. We write so others may read and comprehend what it is we are trying to communicate in the clearest way possible with the least number of words.
I got hired into teaching on the first day of substitute teaching 6th graders at Horace Mann Elementary in Glendale, CA.
I am entering my 25th year of teaching. I am a credentialed multiple subject teacher, literacy is my expertise. I have been trained in and have experienced teaching various literacy programs from whole language to phonics based instruction. Every year, I teach students from many different ethnic/cultural backgrounds with variety of needs.
