About Stephanie

I have been tutoring students in grades K-12 for 10 years in a variety of subjects. I currently work as an assistant principal and bring my expertise to every student I serve.

Prior to my work in schools, I worked for Kaplan Test Prep specializing in test prep for the SATs and SHSAT.

I love working with students on an individual level. I know that with a little extra help and 1-1 attention, students are able to do anything.

I taught SAT, ACT and SHSAT test prep for both test prep companies and also through independent tutoring.

I have two masters degrees in education, one in Literacy and the other in Quantitative Analysis from NYU.

I began my professional career by teaching Middle School English and currently serve as an Assistant Principal in a K-8 school, overseeing instruction.

About the lesson

Before diving into content, I like to get to know my student's strengths and weaknesses and goals for tutoring. I can get of sense of who they are outside of the subject area. As we continue to work together, we regularly check in on our goals.
