About Amulya
Hello! I am currently a full-time college student, but I would love to tutor a few hours a week. I used to tutor when I was in high school. I would help my friends with their essays and help them study/prep for exams. I would also help the kids I babysat with any of their homework questions. I love helping people, and I'd love to offer my services to others! I have the Illinois Gateways Certification for the early childhood studies, and early childhood education. I taught pre-school a whole semester and I had a great time working with the kids and writing lesson plans for them.
I have a high school diploma, and I am currently attending a 4-year university full-time. Because of this, I have a firsthand understanding of the material students are given at school, since I was recently in that very position.

I first try to get to know the student, and get an understanding of what type of a learner the student is. So, I usually begin by asking them what questions they have and explain concepts in different ways to see which the student undertands. Also, when working through problems I try to not give the answer right away and guide the student through the steps to take, so that the student knows where the answer is coming from and how to do so on their own.

Details
I charge based on the level of the subject the tutoring is for. For example, tutoring for the elemenatry level would be lower than the high school level and more advanced classes would be a higher charge. The general range would be between $15-$35 an hour, depending upon the subject the tutoring is for.
