About Ashley
I am currently a rising junior at Yale University where I have successfully taken many writing classes, earning A grades in all of them. I am extremely passionate about writing and helping others to strengthen this skill. Before college, I took AP Literature in high school and a fiction writing elective. My previous experiences have given me a robust level of knowledge on the subject.
I enjoy working with kids and helping inspire them to pursue academic excellence. At a certain age, many students lose motivation. I want to help teach them to love to learn, because it absolutely pays off to put in the work now and then end up at your dream University.
I started teaching in high school and have worked many summers as a tutor, for students of all ages.

Depending on the grade of the student and how much work they need in a certain area, I like to break down the writing structure for essays. For example, if students greatly struggle with writing, I try to break down the process into many small pieces to make it easier to follow. If a student needs less help, I like to give them an overall essay structure and help edit the grammar and flow of their paper. Therefore, my teaching method varies depending on the skill of the student and the student themself.
