About Jade
I am excited to work with students and find what works best for them. My goal is to help students learn material and grow in their weaknesses.
I enjoy working with Elementary Age students and helping them find what clicks and allows them to master content. Seeing this happen is why I want to do this and work in this field.
I enjoy watching students reach their full potential. I want to be able to help students master what they struggle with.
I am currently a Junior in college studying Elementary Education with a reading endorsement. I took three years of Spanish and worked with Elementary age students teaching Elementary Spanish.

To start, I want to get to know my students and understand what they like to do. This way, I will be able to focus teaching and assignments on things that are engaging and motivating fro them.
I have worked with different kinds of students. I have worked with students with and without learning disabilities, students learning English or a different language, and students that are struggling to understand content.
I would advise students to find a teacher that they think they will work best for them and a teacher that wants the best for them.
I recently spoke at the President of my Universities Scholarship Event. I was able to discuss the importance of Scholarships and what they have done for me as a student and future educator.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about the specific content they are struggling with. Sometimes tutors have little time and struggle to meet all the students needs in such little time. Therefore, focus on what needs work first and then hit the other stuff.
In addition, ask your teacher what they think they their strengths and weaknesses are. To be able to achieve mastery, you need to feel confident and proud. Completing things students know they are good at can help with things they are not as good at.
