About Cassandra

Honestly, I have only had one student. I want to gain more experience, and I know I can do it if you give me the chance. I have always been selected as trainer, for all my jobs. I have worked at Subway, Target, and I m currently working at a psychiatrist office and med spa.

I graduated from Chaparral High School

I am currently a student at Arizona State University, studying architecture and sustainability.

I've always excelled in reading, writing, and grammar. I've also enjoyed algebra and geometry.

I've struggled in the past with my grades, and I know how hard it can be to learn. After figuring out different techniques to grasp a subject, (step-by-step explanations, diagrams, examples, hands-on work) I figured out a lot of 'hard' subjects can actually become simple, depending on how things are taught. After four years in high school, I learned that I actually enjoy math and reading; and I'm able to teach these subjects well and thoroughly.

About the lesson

I start off with trying to get to know my student, and asking them about school.
What's your favorite subject? What's your least favorite thing about school?

I'll then narrow it down to what their learning struggles are, and what subjects they need help with.

Caroline

My daughter always struggled with grammar and phonics since she was around 5-6. I saw huge improvement after one tutoring session a week for 8 weeks. Her teachers have contacted me giving me updates on her improvement. My husband and I are so happy with the decision we made.
