I am currently a senior at Southeastern University pursuing a degree in Secondary English Education. I have training in working with struggling Elementary readers and also expereince workng with Special Needs students. I have tutored students who were falling behind in Elementary to help them catch up and pass state exams. I was also hired as a tutor for an Exceptional Education school where I designed lesson plans based off of each student's IEP plan and worked with low-functioning and high-functioning special needs students.

When working with a new student, I typicall like to do fun activities to get to know eachother for the first session. It is important to me to get to know each student personally and understand their personal learning style. I also like to know my student's personal needs and interests so that I can design lessons that they will enjoy.
I have been trained to administer reading surveys to determine areas of need for Elementary level students so during the first few sessiosns I will administer those surveys to see where the student is at.
