About Mikayla
Hello. My name is Mrs.Kazmier and I am a currently a middle school science teacher. I have also taught social studies, reading, and English. I have a Bachelor's degree in education ranging Kindergarten-12th grade. I didn't always love school growing up. School can be really hard, but I found ways to learn that were the best fit for me and I hope to help you do the same. I think that we should make multiple mistakes a day because if we are making mistakes we're trying and that's all I ask for. Now let's learn some stuff!
I love working with kids, helping them break through educational frustrations, and making learning fun. Boring learning isn't memorable and boring teaching isn't fun for me. I like to provide an environment where we can learn and have fun and work through problems so that we can better problem solve in future classes as well!
I began my teaching journey in 2017 and have never looked back!
I have a degree in Elementary Education Kindergarten-12th grade. I currently teach science at the middle school level. I have worked as a respite care worker for an individual with severe autism and have experience working with English language learners in Korea where I taught English.

When working with a new student I first like to get to know there hobbies and the things they enjoy as we may be able to toe these into their learning experience. I then like to find out more about their preferred learning styles and areas that they may need some extra help in. From there we learn in a way that provides them with a better understanding of the content and less frustration.
