About Javier

While my current day-to-day job is as a finance professional at a Fortune 50 company, my passion is helping teach others - I intend to be a college professor. English and grammar my specialities, primarily in context of writing school essays.

Educational qualifications:

Master of Business Administration (MBA) - ASU (GMAT verbal score: 41 - 94th percentile)

Bachelor's in Finance - ASU, Barrett, The Honors College

Teaching has always been a passion for me, and I hope to become a college professor in the future.

About the lesson

The key to long term success in learning is not trying to memorize concepts and regurgitate them, but to understand the fundamentals. As such, my first goal with any student is to understand how they think and approach problems. From here, I work to shape the way someone conceptualizes information to help them be as effective and efficient as possible. Because of that, I don't focus on nitty-gritty details and archaic rules. Instead, I try to provide the necessary tools so one can tackle future situations as naturally and effortlessly.

Writing is something you'll have to do your entire life, so look for a teacher who will help you develop the skills needed to do things as effortlessly as possible.
