I recently graduated in the top 15% of class from Salem High School. I was president of the Spanish Honor Society at my school therefore I have plenty of experience tutoring for Spanish. As a an AP student I earned 3's in AP Human Geography and AP US History and a 4 in AP Psychology so I can also tutor in those areas. I've taken Honors and Dual Enrollment English and can tutor in those areas as well.

I will assess a student's proficiency first through asking how comfortable they feel learning on a scale on 1-5. One being, "I am so lost, I do not know how to face this material (yet) and five being "I am comfortable but I just want to review or tips on how I should study"
Based on how they answer that question we'll look into the curriculum in question and sort through what they know and what they have to learn. As well as what they feel they need more work on.
From there we can make a list of goals and work through them. I tend not to place a huge focus on the grades because more often than not making a fuss about the numbers can stress out a student. I want to ensure they are comfortable learning the material and they have the confidence to learn.
