About Gillian
Hi! My name is Gillian Edgington, and I’m a bright, friendly tutor originally from New York City, now studying abroad in Budapest, Hungary. I’m a native speaker of both English and Hungarian, and I graduated from the prestigious Beacon High School in 2024. I'm currently pursuing a degree in International Relations at Corvinus University of Budapest, where I maintain a strong 90 GPA.
I have six months of experience tutoring English grammar and literature through the Learn To Be platform, where I worked one-on-one with students to build their confidence and understanding. Whether it's essay writing, reading comprehension, grammar fundamentals, or speaking and vocabulary practice, I tailor each lesson to meet individual student needs.
My strengths include clear communication, patience, and an encouraging teaching style that helps students feel comfortable and engaged. I’m passionate about education and love making learning a positive and rewarding experience!
