About Carmen
Do you want to improve your English and have fun while doing it? Then you should keep reading! I have my TEFL certification, just under 1 year of ESL teaching experience, and a reasonable price for my tutoring. I am eager to work with students of all ages who are excited to read, write, and speak the English language. My focus will be on helping you to feel more comfortable speaking English, through lessons designed just for YOU and your interests.

I enjoy finding new ways to teach based on my students' needs and interests. Most of all, I want the learning process to be fun and exciting for you.
I received my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification in June 2019. Before and after receiving my certification, I was a teacher's assistant for English classes for adults at two different language schools- (1) International Institute of New England and (2) American English College. I have taught in group settings as well as tutored students one-on-one. I currently work full-time as a paralegal teaching individuals how to represent themselves.

I have particular experience working with students from China who want to improve their English for social and business purposes. I speak intermediate-level Spanish and teach legal information to Spanish speakers in my current job.
