About Jennifer
As a former elementary school teacher, I have a passion for working with youth to help them learn and grow. An energetic professional with a master's degree in education, more than 10 years of experience working with children, and expertise from pre-k through third grade available for virtual tutoring.
I love when students learn something new and are excited by the work we are doing.
In high school, I took a child development class. Seeing the light in children's eyes when they learned something new led me to become a teacher.
Master's Degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University

I'd start by getting to know my student, their interests, what works for them and what does not, and what their schedule and goals look like so we can create a plan for moving forward.
Early childhood - birth through 3rd grade, and ESOL through age 12. I have tutored and otherwise worked with students through high school age.
Think about your learning style, the type of person you work best with, and what you are hoping to achieve through tutoring.

Perfect! Jennifer is just excellent in every aspect. She has been tutoring my son in reading since October this year. She showed my son (3rd grader) strategies in improving his reading and helped him practice his skills from reading comprehension to grammar. She is very professional, punctual, caring and patient. She gives me feedback at the end of every session on my son’s performance/ progress and activities they worked on. Not only that, she also emails me the summary of each session in details with links to education webpages that would help my son to practice in reading. I strongly recommend her to anyone who is looking for tutor. My son will continue to receive tutoring from Jennifer.
