About Jessica
Hello, I am a credentialed English, Literacy, and Visual Arts teacher who has 10+ years of experience teaching and coaching at the middle and high school levels in Los Angeles schools. I earned my Master in Education from UCLA 10 years ago and have since then worked to develop various reading and writing programs that focus on student engagement as well as progress. If your student struggles to engage in reading or writing, I am the tutor for you!
I am available to travel to you or teach virtually via Google or Zoom.
I love watching students grow and improve - I specialize in working with underperforming youth and improving their reading comprehension levels and writing skills.
M.Ed in Urban Teaching from UCLA 2011
B.A. in Literatures of the World from UCSD 2009
10+ years of experience teaching in Los Angeles high schools as a Regional Specialist, Instructional Lead, Literacy Lead, and English Department Chair.
