About Savannah
I'm passionate about helping students and athletes grow and reach their full potentional. I have been a softball coach and pitching instructor for 6 years, I played collegiate softball for a D2 school, and have coached at the high school level. I currently have my Master's degree in Psychology and am working toward's a Ph.D. in a business-related field. I enjoy having the ability to give back to the communities that helped me growing up. I also find a lot of meaning in watching students and athletes grow and progress - getting over a hurdle in learning is so rewarding and that is why I do this in addition to grad school and my job.
I started teaching in high school as a teaching assistant for an engineering course, but really got into it when I started graduate school and was able to assist professors with teaching classes that I had more of an interest in.
I have my Master's in Psychology and am working towards a Ph.D. in a business-related field. I worked as a teaching assistant for college-level psychology and business courses where I tutored college students, helped students write essays, and helped facilitate class. As for softball, I played for over a decade, including at the collegiate level and have coached and been a pitching instructor for several years.

I believe the process for helping a student or athlete has to start with getting to know them and understanding what approaches will help them best. I have worked with many students and athletes and have hardly ever taught the same way to each of the kids I have helped.
I have worked with students of all ages, but mostly have worked with students in high school or college.
I think it's important to hire a teacher that can teach in the specific way you learn. Everyone learns differently, so I always recommend testing teachers/tutors out until finding the right one for you.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would think through how you prefer to learn, what environments you work best in, and really digging into what you currently know and what you want to learn from the teaching engagement.
