About April
I have been teaching at The Dance Place in Newburyport since 2013 and many of my students have been coming to my class consistently for 7 years! Students come to get in shape, but stay for the amazing healthy body and mind benefits that our welcoming dance community provides.
My classes are based on Zumba, but I strive to keep things interesting with a broad range of music and dance styles.
The large group classes are easily modified for varying degrees of impact or fitness levels.
I offer large group and beginner classes, or small group classes which can be tailored to suit the students.
I am certified in Zumba, Zumba Gold and Zumba Toning

April really puts her heart into her Zumba classes. She is always well prepared and her expert choreography is fun and keeps us on our toes. She pays attention to class participants and helps out those who are struggling. You couldn't ask for a more caring instructor.
The kind and compassionate professionalism our teacher April shows. In addition, her thorough knowledge of the dances and her priority on proper body mechanic and of course the joy and fun she brings to each class!.
Fabulous choreography! Lively music! Terrific energy! Steps complex but April breaks them down so you can easily follow. Best class I’ve been to for Zumba.
