About David
I teach flamenco guitar in the same way I was taught by my maestros in Spain, with emphasis on ear training, immitation and rhythm. I have performed in hundreds of flamenco shows as bith a soloist and as a flamenco dance and cocal accompanist. It my passion to compose, perform and teach this artform!
I've had many students over the years. Most have approached me after concerts or after finding me online.

I generally will assess a new student's level and start on a regimen of level-based technical exercises, melodies, and rhythmic patterns, trying to keep it fun and challenging at the same time. As the classes progress I introduce them to the different flamenco forms (palos) and then teach different melodic falsetas within each style until they have a nice variety of base rhythm, melodic interpretation (falsetas) and other variations and nuances within the form. I also teach basic harmony concepts as they apply to flamenco. For the more advanced student, I'm also happy to teach dance and vocal accompaniment.
