About Electra
Post-grad who studied and lived in Paris, France for five years.
Eager to use my knowledge of French and Social Studies to improve your performance!
I have experience teaching English to French students, and served as an extracurricular tutor at the American University of Paris.
I work very well with kids and young adults, and I am very patient. (My brother has autism, so I understand how to deal with learning difficulties)
I have experience working at international organizations and NGOs such as the OECD and International Chamber of Commerce. (Yes, the ones you can find in your advanced social studies textbooks!)

Opening sessions start off with icebreakers and introductions so I can get to know the new student and connect to them and make them feel comfortable.
I ask the student what they would like to improve on or if they have had difficulty performing a task in the past to gage their skill level.
After assessing strengths and weakness, I build my lesson plan.
For school assignments, I typically let the student try to work the problem or assignment out themselves. If the student struggles, I offer guidance to help them think of the situation in a new way.
I offer a study tips and tricks for them to work on for the next session and make sure the student learns something new by the end of each session.
If the student is eager to learn more about a subject, I will provide extra material for them to read/watch/listen and reflect on for the next session.
