About Jana
I’m a native speaker from Munich with a Master’s degree in German Studies. I have taught private lessons and at universities in the US and Germany for over ten years. Currently, I’m completing my doctorate degree in German Literature.
My courses are systematically laid out, with each course building on the contents of the previous level. The levels are based on the common European reference framework for languages.
I teach all levels and all ages.
Lessons are available in person or via Skype.
Material: Your study material or I will develop a training outline based on your needs.
I love teaching and that is why my teaching experience is extensive and varied: I started as a tutor in Germany (English, Latin and German), taught young adults with special needs as well as immigrants and refugees without a common language, and became a German professor after I received my Master’s degree from the University of Munich.
I believe that education is the key to a healthy society, and pedagogy and criticism are powerful tools for spreading awareness about the need for difference and the richness of diverse world views.
Learning a new language broadens your horizon – it's wonderful to see students grow and help them with their goals.
I am a German professor, currently working on my dissertation.
