About Alexia
Hi! My name is Alexia Brown and I am a Golf Instructor at Balcones Country Club in Austin, Texas! I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and have been playing this game of golf since the age of 9. I attended Portland State University on a four year College Golf Scholarship and shortly after graduating, I began Coaching at a Junior Golf Association called The First Tee of Phoenix. Coaching at the First Tee entailed implementing life skills while using golf as the platform/vehicle. In addition to coaching, I became a Program Coordinator for the Junior Golf Organization. And managed a Site located at Augusta Ranch Golf Club in Gilbert, Arizona. After 4 years of highly notable coaching at The First Tee of Phoenix, I was offered an opportunity to train and coach alongside The Vision54 Team. Instructors, Lynn Marriott and Pia Nilsson are the Co - Founders of Vision54, one of The Top 25 Best Golf Performance Schools in the U.S. My time working with the Vision54 team as well as The First Tee of Phoenix helped develop the foundation of how I choose to Instruct. Now, I am located and currently working as a lead Golf Instructor at Balcones Country Club in Austin, Texas. I teach juniors, beginners, and advanced players and I am working on becoming a Certified LPGA Class A Instructor.
I believe that every golfer has a unique strategy for playing great golf and I want to take great care in discovering what works best for them. It is important to look at the reality of golf and what elements influence your performance. The elements are physical, technical, mental, emotional, social, and spirit of the game. Through my teaching education at Vision54 I have learned to target the whole person, not just the technical aspect of the game. My goal is to effectively communicate and give structural feedback to my clients. Understanding the intent of their practice (Intention=Attention) and transferring the skills they have learned during practice over on to the golf course will help them ENJOY the game more. LETS BRING CLARITY TO THE POSSIBLITIES AHEAD.

I typlically give a free 30 minute assessment in order to analyze and determine the skill level of the client. The assess ment also entails a meet and greet to get to know me as an instructor and a discussion on pricing and specific goals the client would like to acheive
juniors, seniors, beginners, and advanced students
Do your research on their professional background and it is imperative that you meet them first before you begin to recieve instruction.
Any Balcones Country Club special events as well as my own personal Clinic called Swing & Sip on Tuesdays from 6-7PM at Balcones Country Club.
