About Hallie
As a College student, I can connect with students and make their learning process easier and much more enjoyable! I am currently a Junior at William and Mary, pursuing a degree in Public Policy. Furthermore, I have a strong background in writing, statistics, and the government. I have worked with students who range from age 7-18. I use teaching techniques that keep students engaged while also providing them with the tools to succeed on current and future assignments!
The best feeling as a tutor is when a student is able to use all the tools they have gained from our session and apply them to their studies! It brings me much joy to know that the student is proud of their work and succeeding.

The most important first step is to talk with the student and see from their perspective where and why they are struggling with a certain subject. We will also discuss which kind of learner they are and which methods have worked the best. Additionally, I will ask for some recent work on the subject to determine where I believe some mistakes have been made. Following these steps, I will design a teaching method that I believe would be most beneficial to the student. I also will provide them with the tools to better themselves in the subject outside of our sessions.
