About Justin
I have a deep passion for both performing and sharing the joys of music. I am a classically trained musician/educator and can teach beginning/intermediate guitar, advanced bass guitar, and all brass.
With five years public education experience and over fifteen years of performance experience I can help guide your musical life in the direction you choose.
I have a Bachelors degree in Music Education from West Virginia University.
I have five years of experience in public music education and nearly t twenty years in professional performance as well as countless hours of studio time.

It is important to first understand what my students wish to learn. It makes no sense to teach them stock methods if they want to play punk music for fun. Likewise it makes no sense to teach them Jimi Hendrix if they want to focus on campfire songs.
Secondly, it is important to learn what level of proficiency my students are working from. I am not going to discuss the techniques of Pat Metheney if they have just purchased their first guitar.
The first lesson is a get to know each other period where expectations of both student and instructor are set.
