About Mark
I meet my students at their current level and tailor my teaching style to their stylistic preferences and desired goals and keep the process fun while challenging them at the same time in order to help them improve but to always enjoy playing.
I stand out because I am an accomplished professional that has played on recodings and live for succesfful artists, and have had success as a songwriter as well. My goal is to help students enjoy playing but do it as high a level as they can dream. I am confident and efficient in most popular styles of music and can fit in most scenarios as rythym or lead player and hope to show my students how to do this as well. I just try to listen a whole lot when we first start so that I know where they are on their journey. Once i have a good hold on where they are as a player and where they are wanting to go, I can begin developing a strategy that will accommodate them uniquely in a way that allows them to grow at a comfortable pace. I strive to help them enjoy making music but also push them to learn to become more efficient.
