About My Lessons
Learning music should never feel like a chore—it should feel like discovery.
With nearly thirty years of experience playing guitar, piano, and several other instruments, I bring both skill and simplicity to the table. I’ve spent years performing in my own band, writing original music, and studying music theory, and I know what keeps students engaged: clarity, creativity, and fun.
My approach is all about working smarter, not harder. I use a color-coded system (with a simple, affordable tool called Neck Notes: (concealed information) to help students instantly recognize notes and patterns across the fretboard or keyboard. This makes learning visual, intuitive, and fast.
I ask for just five minutes of practice a day—no more, no less. This small, consistent effort keeps lessons enjoyable, builds steady progress, and strengthens memory. When you enjoy what you’re doing, you learn faster.
I don’t teach students to imitate—I teach them to understand. You’ll learn how music truly works: the relationships between chords, scales, and notes, and how they fit together across your instrument. Once you grasp that foundation, any song—yours or someone else’s—becomes easier to play because you’ll hear it, see it, and know it instinctively.
Lessons move at a comfortable pace with plenty of repetition and encouragement. There’s no confusion, no unnecessary complexity—just a clear, engaging path to becoming a confident musician.
Whether you’re brand new or have been playing for years, I’ll help you build real musical understanding and make learning an experience you’ll look forward to.
