Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Performance, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Reading Music, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing, Recording and Production, Guidance In Equipment Selection
Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
assessing ability: play songs if they can. test on chords: open chords, open 7th chords, power chords, barre chords, barre chord 7ths, then into more 7 chords. lesson is based on students goals. Intro lessons are like a regular lesson. Maybe a little more talking about specific goals and learning where the student is ability wise on the guitar. Getting more background , etc.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
Lessons are based on students goals and applying techniques learned via backing tracks, jamming, recording, etc. Lessons could include learning songs which include learning new chords and rhythm patterns( strums) and techniques; solos, scales, theory, making up solos, writing solos, analyzing songs and solos.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
One that knows what he/she wants to do on the guitar. One the follows the assignment and practices.
