I've been teaching guitar (acoustic + electric), bass (fretted + fretless), songwriting/composition, music direction, theory, recording, live performance, and ensembles for 17 years. I studied musical theatre + modern dance at The Evergreen State College, hosted my own show on WFMU Radio ("Minor Music"), and received a Fellowship from The Brooklyn Philharmonic, and
In addition I've worked w/ Shudder To Think, The Shaggs, Kate Pierson (The B-52's), Nina Persson (The Cardigans), Bootsy Collins, Stephen Colbert, Paul Rudd, Gilbert Gottfried, Gary Lucas (Jeff Buckley, Captain Beefheart), Nona Hendryx (LaBelle), Michael Ward (The Wallflowers), Julee Cruise ("Twin Peaks"), among many others.
No one - yes, no one - picked up a guitar because they wanted to sit at home and learn how to read music. They wanted to make music. And that's what I like to do. Help people make the music they want to make.
