Teaching how to read music if they do not know how
I begin with proper hand position, closing after plucking a string
Beginning with very simple music like "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and moving gradually through more challenging pieces, each one teaching a new technique.
Demonstrating each new technique and playing along with the student.
Using a metronome to play precisely.
