About Ella
Hello, my name is Ella. I am a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Japanese Language and Culture and East Asian Studies. I have just come back from spending three weeks in Japan, specifically Tokyo, Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, Noboribetsu, and Otaru! My passion for Japanese has fueled my desire to help fellow students pursue learning the language and culture. I have tutored beginning to intermediate levels of Japanese at Austin Community College, designed an introduction to Japanese curriculum for homeschool middle school students, and worked as a grader and TA for the Japanese department at The University of Texas. I value each student’s purpose for studying Japanese and appreciate the uniqueness of each individual’s style of learning. I have worked with a variety of students spanning across various age groups, educational settings, personalities, and learnings styles, so I am confident that I can also assist you in becoming proficient in Japanese.
