About Shelley
I love to create beautiful things! My passion is to pass on my knowledge and experience to as many people as I can. Crafting is a wonderful way to relieve stress, find a sense of accomplishment, and be proud of what you have made.
I learned to create from my Mom. She could make anything. my one regret is not learning to knit from her before she passed away 3 years ago. Since then I have discovered how to finger knit with chunky chenille yarn. I love the softness and the process of knitting with chenille. I'm always trying new patterns and designs. It is a fun challenge to see what I can create. I would love to teach you the same skills.

I love meeting new people and sharing my knowledge with them. I also love the yarn. It is so soft, easy to work with, and versatile. The patterns and color options are endless. The sky is the limit on what you can create!
I have a friend who asked if I had ever thought about teaching classes. I hadn't, but was willing to try. I have loved every class since then. Sharing my knowledge and talents has inspired me to stretch myself. Teaching was the natural answer.
I have years of experience creating new things from all different mediums. All of my education has been self taught.

I start with the basics. We get familiar with the yarn in our hands, how to start with a slip knot and then start knitting. The process starts slow until the student is confident with the process, and then I let them take off! I'm there every step of the way to make sure if they make a mistake, I can help fix it. Knitting is a fun way to create and I'm there to guide the student learn every thing they need to know to be successful and proud of what they have created.
I have worked with men and women of all ages.
Ask questions. What is their experience? What can I learn? Will I go home with instructions to help me remember what I learned? How long will it take? What will I make? Are there design options? Can I choose the color and pattern I would like?
I have been able to teach group classes at a local boutique. Each class is a wonderful way for friends to gather, chat, and work on a new skill. I love getting to know each person who comes to my classes, their background, likes and dislikes, and dreams. It gives a sense of community and individuality in a beautiful way.
