From the first lesson I took I was passionate about guitar. I want to share that passion with others. The guitar is an instrument tht can be learned by all ages because of the variety of approaches. Music and instrument playing has the capacity to stimulate the brain more than anything else. It has been clinically researched and there are many physical and emotional health benefits as well as social.
My first teacher (Masters level) told me I was proficient to teach and to go for it.

I teach both a theoretical approach and chord and strum patterns. In the first lesson students learn enough basic elements to be able to play a song. I help a student build repertoire gradually in their own favorite styles/genres.
Children as young as 5 years of age to adults of various ages; workshop leader for continuing education courses for three different colleges in the State of NY
Make sure they have a long term track record and willingness to work with students that have different needs. Ask them what professional guitarists they admire and why.
My favorite guitarists: Sharon Isbin, Segovia, Chet Atkins, Eric Clapton, Joan Baez, Happy Traum, Eric Bibb, Peter Yarrow, Vince Gill
