About Tracy
Hi there! With over 13 years of dedicated experience as a reading specialist and classroom teacher, I offer expert guidance to students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Literacy, equipping me with a deep understanding of effective teaching methodologies and literacy development.
My specialized training(s) include:
- Orton-Gillingham (OG) Approach: An evidence-based, structured literacy program that is especially beneficial for students with dyslexia or other reading difficulties.
- LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling): Comprehensive training that provides a robust framework for teaching reading and spelling through a science-based approach.
I am committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment where students can build confidence and achieve their literacy goals. Whether your child needs help with foundational reading skills, comprehension strategies, or writing development, I am here to provide personalized support and effective strategies tailored to their unique needs.
Let’s work together to unlock your child's full potential and set them on a path to academic success!
