About Andrea
I am dependable, flexible, punctual, and positive! If we are scheduled, I will be there and I will be on time. I am also flexible enough to amend our schedule if needed. It is very important to me that my students are successful. I differentiate my instruction based on the needs of each student to meet them exactly where they are in the learning process. I have been a teacher for 8 years, a tutor for 3 years, and I would love to add you to my list of successful students.
I want to change the future one child at a time through education. A child who understands and is successful in school is a child with endless opportunities for their future. Furthermore, student success reeps high self-confidence, and we all could use more of that! I live for those "moments" when a child finally understands a concept they have been struggling with.
I started teaching in 2008 for Pasadena ISD.
I taught in a public school setting with Pasadena ISD for 8 years, and doing one-on-one tutoring for 3 years.

Typically, I want to have a brief in-person meeting so I can meet the student and parent(s), talk about specific educational needs, and decide on what days and times will work for both of our schedules.
I have worked with elementary and junior high students.
Find someone who is positive, desires to teach, and has the experience to back it up.
Recently I had a 4th grade student who hated math because he was having a very difficult time learning his math facts. Through hard work and perserverance, he learned those facts quickly and now math is his favorite subject.
