About Maureen
I am an Elementary Florida certified teacher who loves to teach math. I will work with any students from grades 3-6. I will explain math concepts and provide examples and materials to help a student understand more clearly.
I enjoy working with students online. I am available during the day as I am a retired teacher. I have taught math for over 40 years. I love to make math fun for my students as it was always fun for me. I want to help my students to approach math with an "I can" attitude!
I wanted to be a teacher from the time I entered elementary school. After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Elementary Education, I moved to Florida to begin my career.
I have a bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education grades 1-6. I have taught 5th grade math in Catholic schools throughout my career.

I have worked with 5th and 5th graders during my career.
In spite of the challenge of COVID-19, I enjoyed teaching online at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. My students were motivated and responsive. I enjoyed creating instructional math videos for my 5th graders. I was able to introduce new material, review concepts and assess my students remotely.
