About Whittney
My name is Whittney Tomczyk, and I’ve been an educator for the past thirteen years. I have taught everything from 3rd through 8th grade, including intervention, general education, and gifted courses. I have taught 3rd-8th grade math and English.
My strength lies in helping students realize the potential of their own ideas and thoughts. I have become adept at knowing the difference between when to polish and hone what’s there and when to swap it out for something new when deaing with writing. I know when to stop and take a different approach in math. I have the experience and background to support students in a multitude of ways. I know that all students can learn and grow, and it is my job to get them there.
I love the "ah-ha" moments; the smiles from students who thought they couldn't do something realize their achievements.

I need to understand what the goal is for the student so that I can tailor our sessions to reach that goal. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to reading and writing.
