About Barbara

I am incredably passionate about math because it truly trendcends culture and language. I feel like an overwhelming amount of students arent given the individual attention they deserve in order to be successful in the subject. Math is such a crucial part of your day to day practices, no matter if its algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, and or simple addition/subtraction. It is undeniably essential to grasp the basics to ensure a prosperous future in regards to higher education.

I have been independently tutoring for approximately 9 years. I decided to finally turn my passion into a career.

I currently tutor students in basic college math and math essentials at HCC.

I have an Associates in Economics.

I am current pursuing a Bachelors in Psychology.

About the lesson

First, I like to get a clear idea of what the student understands before proceeding. I also like to make sure I discover in what unique way the student learns. Everyone learns differently and to fully grasp this is a great way to guarantee success.

She really took the time to help me understand and was extremely patient with me. No matter how much I wanted to give up she wouldn’t let me and would explain it different ways until she found a way that worked for me
