About Tangela
I am a veteran math teacher of 28 years specializing in elementary grades first through fifth. I have also worked part-time as a 21st Century Learning Tutor for Brooks County Schools for 13 years. I received my education from the University of Florida where I earned my Bachelor's and Master Degrees in Elementary Education. I am passionate about helping students learn the necessary skills needed to be successful and love when students have a smile on their faces when they have learned a difficult or new skill. I will help students to complete their homework and prepare for upcoming tests during the year. My goal is to help students achieve academic success and to communicate and discuss with parents what necessary skills their child needs to be successful. Ultimately, I want students to become confident in their math ability and learn new strategies that will assist them in learning new mathematical standards that require critical thinking. I welcome parent feedback as well in order to help students become confident math learners.
