I first like to get to know the student. I understand what they expect or need to recieve from me as tutor. I also analyze what their strengths and weaknesses are in an effort to use their strengths to enhance their weaknesses. Then I am able to come up with a plan of action.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student should feel comfortable asking their teacher any question regarding their needs. Whether it is about how to study or how to get better at something. Most students are afraid to ask any questions and thinking through them causes doubt of if the question should even be asked.
