About Carissa
I got my start by being a high school athlete, played volleyball, basketball, and ran track. I went on to play college volleyball. In the spring of 2013 I graduated Hastings College with an exercise science degree. Right out of college I became a personal trainer where I was able to work with all different people but when I started working with athletes I fell in love with it. Summer of 2018 I was able to take over the girls strength and conditioning at Grand Island Senior High.
I am ACE (American Council of Exercise) certified right now but I am working on getting my CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists).

When starting with a new client we need to go through the basics to see where they are. So we will work on some basic foot work and move to the weights area to see what their level is for that. After doing that I will know how to progress them, along with their goals they are aiming for.
I have worked with an 8 year old to seniors in high school for strength and conditioning.
