About Roxana
One of the best things I enjoy is when the students learn, improve their playing, and they become part of their school band or orchestra. In this career, I also work with their confidence, concentration, coordination; beside music knowledge. For example, I had so many kids with lack of concentration, and poor school grades. Then, after taking the music lessons, they improved a lot at school, especially on math and science. All these details make me feel so proud of them.

I have my California State University bachelor's degree on Music Performer with Honors in the major
I also have my certificate as a Private Music Instructor from Harbor Community College and I had been transfer music units from El Camino College in Los Angeles, Califonia.
Last, I have a Live Scan and Criminal Record Statement.

My typical process for working varies depending on the age and level of the student.
First of all, if the student is under 11 years old, I work together with the parent and see for how long we need their help depending on the age.
For example, if the kid is 6 years old and is a piano student, I explain about the set of black keys, and make him learn fingering numbers, and have the student play 5 finger scale on every octave. This will make him/her feel more comfortable playing. On the same day, I teach a short melody with the finger numbers already learned, and now he can practice it at home until the next class which little by little I introduce note values. Every week they will have practice homework and theory homework from two different books that they must have them ready on their next lesson time.
