About Constance
I'm extremely passionate about my students technical accuracy! I seek to teach shorter lesson times that create an atmosphere for increased mental engagement and more hits to misses when engaging in vocal exercises. I teach students of all ages and my lessons are fun and informative.
Things you will learn in lessons:
proper onset and maintenance of breath pressure
bodily awareness and posture
anatomy of the body and vocal resonance cavities
understanding and further development and appropriate blending of chest and head registers
dramatic interpretation and stage presence
increased connection to personal expression and musicality
I have 3 years or teaching experience and 18 years of voice related training in Opera: including private and University voice study, Italian, French and German language and diction study, as well as staging and acting. I received my Bachelor's in Voice Performance at Stetson University where I participated as a member of Stetson University’s Opera Theatre, Women’s Choir and the highly selective and elite Concert Choir.
I've performed in fully staged operas with: Stetson Opera Theatre, Manhattan Opera Studio and Utopia Opera to name a few. Having created and planned multiple solo and group concerts; I have a finite understand of blocking and helping others with their stage presence and dramatic interpretation.

I started teaching friends and helping to coach technique and style for my colleagues. I slowly started taking on a student base there after.
I have been teaching voice for 3 years and have 18 years of private training in voice and my Bachelors of Voice Performance from Stetson University. I have performed internationally in fully staged productions and concert settings.

I've work with ages 8 and above.
Having had many teachers over the years myself, I can say that what has been of great help to me is to have someone that isn't only a teacher but a musical mentor: Someone who talks to you about how to listen to music and to listen for technique in singers so that you can choose and effective pool of listening when your not in lessons. What you are around is what you become.
I recently went to see Yoyoi Kusama: A Retrospective! I find her work so profound already and I had never seen her work in person. It was a very moving experience.

I generally do 30 minute lessons at $30.
A lot of new information can cause mental burnout and less consistent mental focus on new concepts. Students can benefit from booking shorter 30 minutes lesson times single or multiple times throughout the week.
