About Tara
I provide students with an introduction to a unique art form. The art of pyrography, or woodburning utilizes a heated pen-like tool with various shaped tips for creating one of a kind works of art.

I will teach the steps necessary to complete woodburned art. I will teach students how to set up a grid on a photo to ensure accuracy. I will teach students how to choose and prep the wood. I will go over the woodburning tools and discuss how to get the best results from each. Tools include a walnut hallow versa pen, a Colwood Olympiad woodburner, torch, and a scorch marker. Students will learn the basics and safety tips. Begineers will create a decorated name plaque in a 1.5 hour session. 6-week sessions are available for advanced students to create a work detailed pet portraits
