About Maria
-My name Is Maria Salas, I'm currently a college student majoring in cell and molecular biology minoring in Spanish
-I started tutoring since I was in high since I grew up in a Spanish household, therefore I'm fluent in spanish
-Being young could be a quality since most kids prefer younger people since it's easier for them to interact with
I enjoy teaching kids about my culture and that learning a new language doesn't have to be difficult because we can make it a fun activity
I started teaching my classmates in high school, I've also worked with little kids and we often play as we learn fun Spanish words every day.
I was born in Costa Rica, Spanish is my first language so I won't just be helping with the Spanish you see in books but also with Spanish that is used every day in Spanish speaking countries

For younger students (elementary school) I like to start with a set of books including fun songs, and technique building. I believe young students learn best when they have a familiar structure to their lessons and clear expectations about practice.
For older students and teenagers I like to start with a discussion about goals.
