About Tahmid
I am a patient and supportive tutor who is an excellent communicator. I currently attend a top grammar school in Birmingham and excelled in the test achieving a high score. Doing the test allows me to give insight on how the test will be and what techniques are the most effective in answering questions. I have tutored other people who have gone on to achieve good results on the grammar test and excelled in their school assessments.

I am thrilled to offer my expertise as an 11+ tutor. I combine a tailored approach with thorough preparation to ensure success for all my students. I provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere to allow my students to engage with lessons and reach their potential. The topics that will come up are Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Maths. Having done the test myself I know what methods are required to increase the chances of success and am able to meticulously cover each topic to make sure they are fully understood. I pair this with assessments and practice questions to promote long-term retention with active recall. I also teach exam technique tips so the students are confident in answering questions allowing them to focus on their knowledge. I teach from year 3 to year 5, focusing on preparing for the exam in year 5 making sure that they are confident on all topics and are able to answer questions with accuracy and consistency. In years 3 to 4 I focus on laying down the foundational knowledge and building up the understanding of key concepts which will make them well equipped with the skills required.
