About Sherry
Self taught artist, who takes common objects and adds whimsical colors and bits & pieces to them giving them new life.
Artwork is therapy.. it's key to finding yourself.
Children need a outlet.. art is key to self expression, self awareness, feeling good about who they are. They learn so much.
Ive been a substitute teacher for 8 years, after the class work was complete, I introduced students to art, the school did not have a program. They loved it.
As a substitute I had the opportunity to have two long term ( 4 months) assignments both teaching art. Both groups were Jr/ Sr. During one assignment a local art museum showed their art work and one of my students got 1st place. We were both thrilled.
I subbed in a 3rd grade class on Dr. Seuss day , each third grade class room participated in creating a new Seuss character.Drawing, naming it each student put their spin on it and yep our class won!
I enjoy teaching, art is helpful to me and I adore the students. Thanks
Self taught artist, experience 8 years in substitut teaching, long term 4 month teaching art, 3 month long term assignment teaching art related subjects, taught children's art class at local art gallery.
