About Radu
I have a background in portrait and street photography, both in digital and film. Currently employed full time as a product, event and commercial photographer. I have great understanding about both the artistic side and scientific side of photography. I can teach you how to make the shot, how to use your tools, what tools to use and how they work. Depending on your interests, I may be able to teach you how to fix some vintage lenses.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge the same way I enjoy learning from others. Every day, situation, person is different, there is no monotony at any time.
I started teaching since I was in high school as a teacher's aide, then I've done the same thing in college. In both I've also been the darkroom assistant. Ever since finishing my schooling, I started teaching privately just because I wanted to share real-world knowledge and experience while making some money on the side. On top of that, I have prepared presentations that I show at my old high school, trying to find a new generation's interest for photography.
I've been educated both at home and by institutions. Both of my parents were photographers, as was one of my grandfathers. For lack of a better word, it's in my blood. I have finished all the photography related courses in college and went on to intern as an assistant to a couple of photographers based in Manhattan, where I got my field experience.

About the lesson

First, we determine the student's knowledge level and start with a few practical exercises determined by said knowledge. We go over the exposure relationship chart and practice it for a bit until the student feels comfortable with how it functions. After that, we will be building upon what has been practiced with a few rules/guidelines that will help you take better photographs.
A teacher should always be able to answer your question in at least 3 levels of difficulty. That way you ensure that whomever is teaching you, knows their stuff like the back of their hand while blindfolded.
