About Jacob
Hey everyone! I have always loved reating beautiful images, mostly with people. But I also love to teach other people this amazing art! Picking up a pro or "prosumer" level camera can be intimidating. All those numbers and lenses and F this and ISO that...it's a lot to process. But I take the worry out of the whole thing. We'll have some fun, build your confidence, and get you on the road to making beautiful images you can be proud of!
I'm also an actor, and have photographed every make and model of human being and personality type there is. Which means...we'll get along great! Haha! But seriously, I'm an easy-going, stress free kind of guy. I lived in NYC for 12 years, and LA as well, so I have a lot of experience, know-how, and the right mindset to help you be amazing at this.
I had friends and family who wanted to start shooting once they saw what I was doing, and it just kind of happened! I've always enjoyed teaching informally, and it's kind of natural for me.
I've been a professional photographer since 2011, and have photographed high level clients from Broadway and the TV/Film industry. I've been published multiple times as well!

It really depends on your experience level! If you've never picked up a camera before, or it's been a long time, do NOT stress. We'll start from the beginning, learning about basic functions like F-Stops, ISO, Shutter Speed, focal lengths, depth of field & compression, and composition. We can also cover basic editing of photos as well! I'm always available for questions, too.
