About Ari
I'm passionate about the art and science of photography. Making a great image is extremely rewarding and so is teaching others the craft. Whether you're looking to get the most out of that new camera, need a little help with your college photo class, or just want to take better pictures of your friends and family, I'm here to help.
I've always been the type of person who enjoys sharing my knowledge with others. Even as a student, I always found myself helping my classmates and I found it was the best way to test and solidify my own knowledge of a subject. Recently I was even asked by a professor at CSN to assist in teaching parts of a class I was enrolled in.
I have over six years of photography experience with approximately three years of formal study in both photography and commercial video production at CSN.

I always make sure to determine where a student is starting off, what skills they already have to build on, and what their personal goals are. Every student learns differently, but all students learn better when lessons are designed around their personal ambitions.
I have experience teaching corporate clients as well as tutoring individuals at a college level, I have worked with students with a wide range of skill levels from beginners struggling to grasp the basics, to peers who just needed a fresh take or some help with the nuance of a technical concept.

Details
The standard rate is $60/hr for one on one lessons with beginners, this will cover the fundementals of using a camera and shooting in manual mode as well as basic composition techniques. Intermediate lessons are $80/hr and include topics such as photographic lighting (continuous and flash), advanced camera functionality, dslr video shooting, and post processing workflow in the Adobe suite (bridge/lightroom/photoshop).
