About Shane
My teaching studio is nestled in the country down a dirt road with a beautiful outdoor environment including fish pond.
The studio itself is all wood and very calming which includes a fireplace and every lighting tool you could possibly imagine.
My classes are very personal and typically one on one or at times may even be as large as 6 individuals but still very intimate.
If you want to truly learn then I will share some of my 35+ years in the business as an artist and professional.
I have enjoyed photography since the age of 5. I love sharing, teaching and learning new things about photography... we are never too old to learn.

I have been a working professional commercial photographer for over 35 years. I have worked with nearly every type of subject matter including heads of state, members of congress, families, pets, architecture, you name it. I've taught photography and business to high school students as well as other photographers.

I ask questions and then LISTEN to what their skills set and goals are. Then I work with the student to develop an action plan that allows them to learn the specific things most important including fundamental skills. I prefer a lot of hands on practice over book learning. I feel DOING is always better than just reading. My goal is to empower the student to have the ability to do more than he/she has even imagined possible quickly.
From children, Teens to retirees
Be sure they have at least 5-10 years experience as a working photographer and they allow you to get plenty of hands on training
